Painted on fabric, the painting vividly reconstructs an ancient Chinese drama. I am particularly fond of the background of the old house with beautiful flowers and birds painted on the panel. A painting inside the painting. The subject matter is two high ranking government officers adorned with elaborate gowns, the one with black and white face paint (right) symbolises evil and the one with colour (left) embodies kindness.
